Summary: With oversight and direction of the Partner, this position is responsible for leading and managing multiple operations of the tax practice area and to deliver quality tax services, that will increase firm's reputation. You will serve as business advisor to our clients aiming at maximizing engagement and achieving qualitative outcomes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Preparation and review of federal and state income taxes for individuals, businesses, benefit funds, real estate, and exempt organizations.

·         Builds new and existing client relationships and demonstrate knowledge of client business.

·         Prepares internal memoranda, written correspondence/guidance, private letter rulings and other documents for submission to the IRS or Treasury Department.

·         Trains staff; reviews and evaluates their work by sharing knowledge to Staff.

·         Manages multiple complex clients, budgets, and production goals for Staff.

·         Responsible in generating new business and expand service opportunities.

·         Manages entire client relationship including billing, collecting, and profitability.

·         Serves as a role model for leading successful teams; develops the client service skills of the team.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

·         Strong technical accounting capabilities; strong analytical and organizational skills.

·         Extremely proficient with MS Office Suite (or similar software) and Tax Software with the ability to learn new or updated software.

·         Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

·         Detail oriented & ability to multi-task.

 

Education and Experience:

·         Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, required.

·         CPA license, required.

·         8+ years’ experience in public accounting tax experience.

·         Significant supervisory experience (3 years plus).

·         Experience preparing individual, business, real estate, and exempt organization tax returns.

 

Physical/Mental/Visual Demands and Work Environment:

·         This job is conducted in an office work environment, sitting most of the time, working on a computer.

·         Must be able to exert up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally.

·         Some travel may be required.

Work Schedule:

·         Typically, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm.

·         Additional hours are required during peak season.
